Welcome to our team spotlight series, where we introduce the people behind FLORA. Building a first-of-its-kind fertility insurance product takes a group of humans who care deeply about the work, and we want you to meet them.
In each post, a team member shares what they do here, why this mission matters to them, and a little about who they are outside of work. Expect real answers, a few fun surprises, and a closer look at the faces making proactive family planning possible.
Meet the person behind the work below.

Your current role at FLORA, plus what you'd call your job if titles didn't exist.
COO - The Glue (bringing people, ideas, and execution together), PDC (Professional Dot Connector)
How long have you been at FLORA?
4 Months (and 2 days)
In a sentence or two, what do you do day to day?
I oversee the day-to-day operations of FLORA, ensuring our people, processes, and priorities stay aligned as we grow. My role is to create clarity, enable the team to do their best work, and keep the company moving toward its goals.

What pulled you toward FLORA, or toward the fertility and women's health space in general?
I first met Christy three years before joining Flora and when I heard what she was doing I said I would do anything to join (Even sweep the office floors, thank goodness there is no actual office now!)
The mission immediately resonated with me because it's solving a real problem that so many people face but rarely talk about. Being able to combine my passion for building companies with work that has such a meaningful impact on people's lives made joining FLORA an easy decision.
As someone who has experienced the ups and downs of building a family myself, it makes the work even more meaningful and reminds me every day why what we're building matters.
What was your first job? Which is your most memorable?
My first job was with Cinnzeo and I made Cinnamon Buns :) Most memorable was the insurance brokerage that I started with my Mom and later ran. It was like my first baby.

What did you want to be when you were a kid?
An Architect! I loved blue prints! I took advanced drafting in high school which led me to want to be a civil engineer and then I took a programming course in my first year of collage and switched to Software/Computer Engineering
How do you spend your time outside of work? What fills your time?
My Children... I used to have hobbies :(
What's something people would be surprised to learn about you?
I love everything and anything to do with Christmas

Pick one and answer: coffee order, comfort meal, or the song that gets you going.
Coffee - Caramel Latte...a big one. A few big ones.
