Your current role at FLORA, plus what you'd call your job if titles didn't exist.

Co-Founder & Co-CEO (I'd call myself the Mother or Co-Mother of the company if titles didn't exist :)

How long have you been at FLORA?

Since day 1 (think summer 2022 when the idea was keeping me up at night)

In a sentence or two, what do you do day to day?

I oversee and manage just about everything, along with my co-counder. (We're still a start-up but with an amazing and growing team). Specifically, I lead the consumer distribution strategy, the brand voice, and the communication collateral across external and internal channels - supported by some incredible colleagues. We are a nearly all-female team!!

What pulled you toward FLORA, or toward the fertility and women's health space in general?

I've always been drawn to fill accessibiity gaps for women, whether around health, finances or well-being (they are often intertwined). Further, I have 3 young adult daughters (and a younger son) who give me so much insight into their needs + how life patterns and timelines have changed. And I have seen close friends and family members struggle with infertility - coupled with the affordablity crisis - and wanted to be the one to help close that gap.

What was your first job? Which is your most memorable?

First job: Making and selling whatever I could to my parents and the neighbors (most people are born entrepreneurs!). Most memorable: I had a brief stint acting in film and television, and my first role/film ended up at Sundance. Interestingly, my role was substantial enough that they insured my life while working on the film. Insurance is everywhere!!

What did you want to be when you were a kid?

A lawyer. I still have visions of doing that one day. Go to law school, if just to learn.

How do you spend your time outside of work? What fills your time?

Running. Hanging out with my kids/husband/girlfriends/our couple friends (we have the best friends). Dancing to music from the early 2000s - this makes me happiest. And I love the beach, the sun. I will always choose a hot vacation.

What's something people would be surprised to learn about you?

I have an identical twin. She's the kindest, most generous person you could meet.

Your most "useless" talent or your weirdest habit. Own it.

I used to be able to speak whole words and sentences backwards. I haven't practiced that in a while.

What's something on your bucket list you still need to cross off?

Visiting this luxury Tuscany resort where my friend was a guest artist... Borgo Santo Pietro. I daydream about it!
