Welcome to our team spotlight series, where we introduce the people behind FLORA. Building a first-of-its-kind fertility insurance product takes a group of humans who care deeply about the work, and we want you to meet them.

In each post, a team member shares what they do here, why this mission matters to them, and a little about who they are outside of work. Expect real answers, a few fun surprises, and a closer look at the faces making proactive family planning possible.

Meet the person behind the work below.

Your current role at FLORA, plus what you'd call your job if titles didn't exist How long have you been at FLORA?

Product Designer

How long have you been at FLORA?

3 months

In a sentence or two, what do you do day to day?

I work at the intersection of product strategy and design—understanding user needs, shaping solutions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring products from idea to launch.

What pulled you toward FLORA, or toward the fertility and women's health space in general?

I've spent the last few years in health tech because I'm motivated by mission-driven work, especially in areas that have historically been underserved. I've also been following Christy and Laura's journey for a couple of years, and their personal stories and vision for FLORA really resonated with me. The opportunity to contribute to that mission is what drew me to the company.

What was your very first job?

I worked at a shoe store throughout high school, which meant I had way too many shoes thanks to the employee discount.

What did you want to be when you were a kid?

A fashion designer.

How do you spend your time outside of work? What fills your time?

Outside of work you'll usually find me hiking, walking my dog, working on a craft project, or hunting for antiques.

What's something people would be surprised to learn about you?

I occasionally show my dog in conformation competitions.

Your most useless talent or your weirdest habit. Own it.

Not useless but I know how to make kombucha.

Pick one and answer: coffee order, comfort meal, or the song that gets you going.

I love mixing matcha with fresh lemonade.

A book, show, or podcast you push on everyone you meet.

Any show set in the Game of Thrones universe.

What's something on your bucket list you still need to cross off?

Go to Japan!
